With molds&dies manufacturing industry,the most competitive local industry,  as the foundation,a primary industrial chain consisting of "molds &dies-plastics-mechanical&electrical appliances- electric bikes and motorcycles-automobile&motorcycle parts"has come into being.  In the new period of opportunities , Huangyan people will spare no efforts in accelerating transformation of the mode of economic development&promoting upgrading of the industrial structure.

We will optimize the spatial arrangement of local industries and press ahead with the industrial agglomeration by building the China Molds&Dies Town, the Food Industry Agglomeration Zone, the Light-Industry and Chemical Investment Zone and the  10,000mu Industrial Park of the Provincially-designated Huangyan EDZ, as well as other industrial areas with the goal to boost the intensive development through concentration and form a new growth pole of local economy.

Huangyan is the home to over 2,000 mold & die manufacturers equipped with nearly 5,000 sets of various CNC equipment, of which 950 sets are internationally or domestically leading machining centers. The percentage of CNC facilities amongst all the facilities is 66% , 16 percent points higher than the average rate of the industry across China.

The total output value of local mold & die sector amounts to 10% of China total, 30% of which is from export.
Plastic commodities produced in Huangyan amount to a domestic market share of over 20%, and account for 10% of the whole export volume of China.

About 65% of the scooter plastic parts demanded by automobile&motorcycle manufacturers across China are produced in Huangyan.
